Kisii county Assembly Clerk James Nyaoga was Monday summoned by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers over claims of abuse of office.
He is expected to explain expenditures made on two foreign trips in late 2019.
South Nyanza Region EACC executive Enock Otiko said they received the claims in April this year and thus the reason for the delayed probe on him.
"We are looking into a possible loss of around Sh500,000 in each of the two trips he had made to India and Uganda.
"Remember it is still a claim until we get to hear from him too," said Otiko.
Nyaoga is expected to shed light on multiple compensations made to his office.
He was, however, yet to show up at the Commission offices along the Kisii-Ogembo highway by 11 am.
He was expected to show up by 9am.
