President William has said they have had a hard time together with his deputy Rigathi Gachagua over the lack of their cabinet.
Ruto who was speaking after swearing in of Cabinet Secretaries at State House said they had to stay in office until late into the night.
He said he is now happy that the CSs have been sworn in and each will take up their work respectively.
"I'm a very proud Kenyan this morning, that now I have a team. For the last couple of weeks my deputy and I have been struggling in offices late into the night, now we have a team," he said.
Ruto however said the CSs don't have much time to celebrate as work is waiting for them in offices.
"Your celebrations will be short-lived because I think you will be leaving the offices late."
He urged the CSs' families to bare with them as they might have to spend hours in offices and have less time to spend at home.
The head of state added that they are committed to working tirelessly to see things working out in the country positively.
" The spouses mtatuvumilia (you will have to persevere). Hawa watu itabidi walale (These CSs will be forced to spend the nights in offices) kwa office in the next couple of months until we have our plan in place and I want to say thank you to the families for supporting this team and we promise you and the people of Kenya, to do our best," he said.
