The ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission will on Monday, October 31, conduct integrity training for professional members of the Kenya Cyber Security and Forensics Association.
The theme of the training is "Enhancing integrity in Information Communication Technology through Cyber Security".
"This is part of a strategy to empower Kenya's professionals to proactively prevent corruption," EACC said.
On October 11 to 14, EACC conducted similar training for members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK).
The training was incorporated into the Annual Governance and Ethics Conference which was held in Mombasa.
The Ethics body urged them to commit to fighting corruption, considering most of the graft cases the Commission is dealing with are linked to their members.
EACC Vice Chairperson Monica Muiru challenged ICPAK and other professional bodies to develop corruption prevention and mitigation strategies to enhance ethical practices among their members.
"One way of doing this is by infusing fraud and corruption reporting requirements into codes of ethics and conduct for professionals," she said.
The anti-graft body on Friday reiterated that most corruption investigations undertaken by EACC involve professionals such as accountants, ICT experts, auditors, bankers, lawyers, supply chain practitioners, valuers, surveyors, engineers and human resource practitioners.
"By virtue of their duties, professionals have a crucial role in preventing the occurrence of corruption," EACC said.
