Political and Governance expert Prof. Edward Kisiangani has pledged to work with President William Ruto with dedication.
His statement comes hours after the president nominated him as Principal Secretary, State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications
In a statement on Thursday, Kisiangani thanked the President for picking him among the 51 individuals he wants to oversee state departments.
He added that he will serve Ruto with loyalty.
"I take this earliest opportunity to thank H.E President William Ruto for nominating me, for consideration by Parliament, to the position of Principal Secretary in the State Dept of Broadcasting and Telecommunication. I pledge to serve with dedication and loyalty," Prof Kisiangani stated.
He will serve under the ministry of Information, Communication and Digital Economy which is led by CS Eliud Owalo.
Kisiangani backed the William Ruto administration in the run up to the August 9 General election.
Of the 51 slots, 14 – the highest – went to people from Rift Valley while 12 were handed to people from the larger Central region.
The list also saw the return of Principal Secretaries who served in the previous administration of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In the list drawn by Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff Felix Koskei, Ruto nominated 12 women.
