Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission CEO Twalib Mbarak on Friday met with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
The FBI team, which had paid Mbarak a courtesy call at the Integrity Center, was led by the FBI assistant director International Operations Division, Washington, Raymond Duda.
Appreciating the cordial relationship that FBI enjoys with Kenya, Duda called for reinforced collaboration in the fight against trans-border corruption and related crimes such as money laundering.
Mbarak appreciated the support that the FBI has provided, saying they will continue to build the capacity of other African anti-corruption agencies in key strategies such as asset recovery.
The visit came a day after EACC separately hosted delegates from South Africa and Mozambique.
The meetings were to exchange experiences and best practices on key anti-corruption strategies.
Kenya has gained a name for its progressive jurisprudence on forfeiture of unexplained wealth.
