ICT and Digital CS Eliud Owalo on Saturday distributed relief food at Aram market in Rarieda, Siaya County.
This was the second day of the Nyanza relief food distribution programme launched by President William Ruto.
The relief program is aimed at cushioning Kenyans from the ravaging effects of drought that has hit at least 23 counties across the country.
Saturday's distribution saw thousands of locals turn up to receive food packages in Aram market.
The CS also used the time to outline the Kenya Kwanza plans to empower local farmers, youth and women.
He also talked about revitalising local industries and uplifting lives of the people of Nyanza to self sufficiency.
Local leaders present include; MP David Ochieng (Ugenya), Caroli Omondi, Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, Former Kisumu Senator Fred Outa, and Siaya County Commissioner James Nonka
Former MPs Ken Nyagudi and Jared Kopiyo, Mwalimu Odoyo Owidi, Area MCA Mark Okeyo, Amb. Bob Jalang'o, and Siaya County UDA Chairman Dianga Waore among others.
On Friday, Owalo launched the Nyanza food distribution drive at Nyangore SDA church in Suba North constituency.
