Senate minority leadership has refuted claims of a division within its ranks and membership in the House.
Led by senate minority leader Steward Madzayo, the leaders dismissed claims that a plot has been hatched to remove Isiolo senator Fatuma Dullo as Senate minority whip.
Addressing a press conference at Parliament Buildings on Monday, the leaders said they are united and working as a team.
"We have had discussions and consultations with our principals and we want to make it very clear to the people that as Azimio, we are one team," Madzayo said.
The press conference came amid claims of wrangles within the coalition over the alleged conduct of some of the leaders.
On Sunday, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna said that 23 out of 29 Azimio senators had signed a petition to remove Dullo.
But Madzayo, said the reported list of signatures is null and void as it did not originate from him as the Coalition's voice in the senate.
"We hear there is a list of signatures. I want to make it very clear that it does not carry the picture of team Azimio in the senate," Madzayo, who is also Kilifi Senator, said.
The entire minority leadership attended the press conference. They include Madzayo, his Deputy Enoch Wambua (Kitui), Dullo and her Deputy Ledama Ole Kina (Narok).
