Cabinet secretary nominee for Defence, Aden Duale.

Defence CS Aden Duale has said he is set to launch a new book, soon. He however did not give the exact dates.

The former legislator said he wrote the book titled 'For the Record' in two years after he was removed as the majority leader in the 12th parliament.

He said the book will address politics of deceit and the 'controversial' 10-year tenure of the Jubilee government.

"The title of that book is a very controversial title. For the Record. It will be based on the politics of deceit and the Jubilee decade in Power," he said.

He spoke on Wednesday during an interview with Citizen TV.

Duale said the book is complete and he is waiting for his boss (President William Ruto) to give him a foreword so that he can send it for publishing.

A foreword is a (usually short) piece of writing, sometimes placed at the beginning of a book or other piece of literature.

It is typically written by someone other than the primary author of the work and often tells of some interaction between the writer of the foreword and the book's primary author.

"I'm just waiting for him to establish the government, maybe somewhere next year (2023) on April," he added.

Duale served as the first leader of the Majority Party under the Jubilee government in the 11th and 12th Parliament.

This was until June 2020 after he was axed and replaced with former Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya.

His falling out with Jubilee begun after more than 130 MPs of the 12th House accused him of sabotaging the Jubilee agenda.

The Uhuru-ally-turned critic joined President Ruto's camp after, his loyalty to the Head of State leading to his appointment as the CS Ministry of Defence.

On October, the CS faulted Uhuru for letting army general run civilian institutions.
