A man has been arrested in possession of over 200 mobile phones in Kasarani, Nairobi County.
Anthony Olando alias Engineer Bobi, was arrested on Sunday evening by DCI detectives, before taking them to his house, where he had stored the stolen phones.
The phones are believed to be worth over Sh10 million.
According to Kasarani Deputy Police Commander Antony Mbogo, said the police have so far arrested 12 suspected gang members and had them arraigned in court.
"This one is the mastermind, because he is the one who receives all those stolen phones," he added.
Mbogo said the suspects have a ready for sale, free market.
The Deputy Commander assured the residents of Kasarani that the police will continue keeping them safe.
He urged those that have had their phones stolen to visit the police station to identify and pick their gadgets.
