Two girls are writing their exam at Nyamira County Referral Hospital after giving birth on Monday morning.

A Grade 6 pupil is taking her exam at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu. She was transferred from Nyamira to the Eldoret hospital on Saturday for specialised treatment.

Another KCPE candidate is writing the test at Manga juvenile correctional centre in Nyamira county. Education officials say they have made arrangements for the pupil to take the test at the facility.

County director of education Boniface Ouko said there have been no alarming issues so far.

Nyamira South subcounty deputy county commissioner Florence Obunga and Ouko on Monday opened the exam container at Nyamira South subcounty headquarters.

“We have enough security for all our examination centres, including for our learners who will be taking exams from various health facilities and those in correctional facilities," Obunga told journalists.

"We have made arrangements for students who will be taking exams from outside the county and we want to assure the public that all is going well from our side.”
