The legal education regulator in the country has sacked its Chief Executive Officer.
A notice signed by Council of Legal Education chairman Githu Muigai and seen by the Star shows that the council has revoked the appointment of Emmanuel Wambua to serve as the CEO.
The notice to the the staff of the institution is dated November 29.
"The board has resolved not to confirm Emmanuel Wambua Kituku for the position of secretary and CEO at the council, effective December 1," the notice read.

In Wambua's absence, the board has appointed Mary Mutugi as CEO in an acting capacity.
Mutugi is the current director of the council in charge of standards, licensing and compliance.
Muigai said the body's council shall immediately initiate and complete the recruitment process of its chief to ensure no vacuum.
"It is the expectation of the board that the officer shall be accorded all the support needed to run the institution as envisaged by the board," the notice reads.
Wambua has been at the helm of the institution since December last year.
