Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday held a public consultative meeting at Kamukunji grounds.
The meeting was aimed at sharing views on the state of affairs of the country.
Leaders presents were Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, and DAP-K patron Eugene Wamalwa.
Others include Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
The issues of discussion included the high cost of living, President William Ruto’s unfulfilled campaign policies and the removal of the four dissenting IEBC officials.
On Tuesday, Kenya Union Party, led by former West Pokot governor Prof John Lonyangapuo, distanced itself from the planned rallies.
“Today the Azimio coalition represents the greatest threat to democracy, the rule of law, and national cohesion in our nation’s recent history,” Lonyangapuo said.
The ODM leader’s anti-government rallies will run for 30 days before he gives his final declaration.
The second meeting will be held on December 12, as a parallel Jamhuri Day Celebration at Jacaranda Grounds.
"On December 12, at Jacaranda Gardens, we will have our own event to celebrate our independence and our republic. This is the republic of Kenya not the republic of an individual or a regime," Karua said on Monday.
