Cameroon FA president Samuel Eto'o has come out to apologise for having an altercation with a man outside the Qatar World Cup stadium.
In a statement, Eto'o decried relentless provocation and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters.
"After the Brazil-South Korea match, I had a violent altercation with a person who was probably an Algerian supporter," Eto'o said.
"I would like to apologise for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality. I apologise to the public for this unfortunate incident."

In a video posted online, Eto'o was seen kicking a man at the World Cup.
Eto'o was posing for pictures with supporters and spotted a man filming him.
He approached the man and tried to kick him but people around him intervened and stopped him.
He then managed to break free and appeared to lash out at the man.
Eto’o is a four-time African Player of the Year and the second most-capped player in Cameroon’s history behind Rigobert Song.
He has won the Champions League on four occasions with three different teams.
