Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has sent a stern warning to corrupt County officials.
The governor spoke during Jamhuri Day celebrations at Kirigiti stadium, on Monday.
The governor said he will ensure that the service delivery in the county is reinstated to required levels.
"My administration is keen on fighting corruption and I will do everything possible to ensure things are in order," Wamatangi said.
He promised to initiate major reforms in the county administration that will effectively fight graft.
He said his administration would discourage skewed employment of county staff, adding that those expecting favours will be in for a rude shock as recruitment will always be competitive and purely on merit, not nepotism or corruption.
The governor said he has already put a transition team in place to identify immediate issues for his action.
Wamatangi said the refined Kiambu People’s Manifesto will inform the development of the County Integrated Development Plan.
He urged the electorate to use the recently launched toll free number in reaching out to his administration.
The governor corrupt individuals will be suspended to ensure proper service delivery.
Wamatangi welcomed constructive criticism, insisting that accountability and good leadership should be open to critique in order to properly serve the people.
Deputy speaker Rosemary Kirika said the county is ready to complete all stalled project.
She also called on locals to fully register for the National Health Insurance Fund launched by the governor on Friday.
Kiamwangi MCA Kungu Smart also used the opportunity to hail the administration for enhancing service delivery.
Kungu urged the governor to ensure that the residents get the services they deserve.
