Gachagua meets Israel envoy Lotem Michael

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met with Israel ambassador to Kenya Lotem Michael at Harambee House Annex on Tuesday.

In a statement, Gachagua said the two countries have enjoyed a strong and friendly relationship over the years.

"Kenya and Israel have enjoyed strong, fruitful and friendly relations over the years based on respect and trust," he said.

"The two nations have had a number of common and similar historical experiences and we wish to foster this into the future, for the good of our people and nations."

The DP said they also discussed the drought situation in Kenya and areas of mutual collaboration between the two countries.
