ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has erected a billboard welcoming President William Ruto in Siaya county.
President William Ruto is from Friday expected to start an extensive tour of Luo Nyanza counties.
The billboard shows the CS shaking hands with the Head of State and written below 'Jothurwa Orwaki Dala' which loosely translates to 'Our people welcome you home.'
On Friday the President will be in Homa Bay county before retreating to Kisumu for talks with the region's political and opinion leaders.
Ruto will preside over the ground-breaking ceremony for the Affordable Housing Programme in Homa Bay county.
He is also expected to commission the Homa Bay municipal market.
On Saturday Ruto will then grace the homecoming ceremony of his ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
Sources within the Presidency confirmed to the Star that Ruto will be the chief guest in Owalo's homecoming event.
However, Owalo has dismissed his critics saying the event in Siaya is not political but simply a thanksgiving fete.
He said that he has invited leaders from all levels of government.
