Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday hosted UK's High Commissioner Jane Marriot at his office a day after she met ODM's Raila Odinga.
The two discussed broader matters on cordial relations between Kenya and the UK.
"We have discussed broader matters on cordial relations Kenya and UK have enjoyed over years and to further strengthen our relations and ties," he said.
On Wednesday, Marriot met with Odinga where they held talks on a number of issues.
Raila said he was at the meeting at the invitation of the UK envoy who played host.
"We discussed the situation in the country, potential areas of collaboration, and agreed to consult on a regular basis to discuss matters of national and mutual interest," Raila said in a statement on social media.
In a separate statement, Marriot said it was a pleasure meeting the Azimio leader whom she described as "a historic leader who has played a vital role in deepening Kenyan democracy".
