Deacon Michael Mithamo King'ori first blind priest in Kenya ordained by Nyeri Diocese Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

Nyeri Catholic diocese on Saturday ordained the first-ever blind priest in Kenya.

Deacon Michael Mithamo King'ori was ordained by Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

"Jubilation and thanksgiving to God as the Catholic Church in Kenya witness the extraordinary ordination of the first blind priest, Rev Deacon Michael Mithamo King'ori of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri to the priesthood," Radio Maria reported.

"His is a story of "with God, all things are possible." Congratulations to Fr Michael Mithamo and gratitude to Most Rev Anthony Muheria for granting such a fete of grace."

Mithamo had been serving as a deacon at the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri.

He was ordained alongside other priests.
