Speaking on Monday at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu said last year's class 8 candidates will begin reporting to Form One between February 6 and 13.
He added that from Tuesday the learners will be able to access the portal to check their school placement.
Machogu said the process had been carried out in a fair manner.
"The selection process was based on merit and availability of space in schools."
He further said 18,794 females and 20,178 males were placed in the 106 national schools.
The CS added that 107,461 girls and 91,566 boys have been admitted to county schools across the country.
"We have also admitted 111,105 females and 117,055 males in extra county schools," he said.
Machogu advised parents to take their children to the schools they have been placed.
"Those who may not be satisfied with schools where the children have been placed can approach the desired schools for assistance," he added.
