Embattled Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has intensified the party's grassroots activities amidst leadership wrangles.

On Friday, he hosted Jubilee Party County Chairpersons (JPCC) drawn from Mombasa, Narok, Kajiado, Kwale, Nakuru, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Kilifi, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nyeri and Nairobi at the Jubilee Party Headquarters.

Kioni said that the chairpersons agreed to support Azimio la umoja coalition and its demand.

"They  stand in full support of the demands made by the Azimio Coalition Party Leader Raila Odinga," he said.

Kioni added that the JPCC remain committed to peaceful demonstrations to address, High Cost of Living and Ruto Despotism, which threaten the lives of all Kenyans.

The meeting comes a few days before Azimio holds its second rally come Monday next week which will take place from dawn to dusk.

Earlier this week,  Kioni exonerated Former President Uhuru Kenyatta from accusations directed at him by Kenya Kwanza Alliance over ongoing Azimio La Umoja demos.

Kioni says it is time President William Ruto and his allies stop using Uhuru's name as an excuse for their failures.

He says United Democratic Alliance's inability to govern the country will not go away by dragging the name of former President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family.

Kioni called on Uhuru's supporters to come out and defend the former head of state.
