Media personality Carol Radull has today given an update on Kenyan boxing champion Conjestina Achieng alias ‘Conje’.
Ten years ago‘Conje’ was on the verge of 'vanishing' as she faced financial and mental health issues since she left boxing in 2011.
Her career came to a sudden end when she started suffering mentally.
In September 2022, the boxing champion was admitted to Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Miritini.
She had been admitted to various facilities after her health and mental status deteriorated.

Eight months down the line, Conjestina appears to be on the right track to recovery.

"Eight months in the centre in Mombasa and my girl Conjestina Achieng looks so good!" she posted.
Radull, who also chairs the Sports Technical Committees in the Talanta Hela Initiative said that Conjestina will be working as a trainer after she is done with rehab.
"Work in a gym awaits her upon completion where she will be training young boxers. Thank you Mike Sonko.We never give up!" she said.
