Azimio leader Raila Odinga has told off President William Ruto over what he termed as badmouthing him.

Speaking on Wednesday, Raila said Ruto should instead focus on solving the challenges facing Kenyans, which he left here.

He stated that Ruto should open the election servers for the world to see what is there.

Raila insisted that this is what Kenyans want him to do.

“There’s no need for William Ruto to go to Germany to bad mouth me. Come back home and solve the problems to have let here. Open the server for the world to know what it entails. Stop shouting abroad, come here and do what Kenyans are demanding you to do," Raila said.

He spoke after a meeting with the Nubian Community and Church representatives in Kibra, where they called for a truce, following the chaos witnessed on Monday.

His remarks came after Ruto who spoke in a meeting with Kenyans living in Germany said all Kenyans must submit to the rule of law.

He added that he will ensure everyone's life, property and business are protected.

"That is what makes us equal. Nobody should trample on the rights of others," he said.

"We have deliberately offered the police operational and financial independence to work. It is their duty to ensure that everyone adheres to the rule of law."

ICT CS Eliud Owalo in a press briefing on behalf of the government accused Azimio La Umoja of refusing to concede defeat despite losing the elections.

He said they were using the cost of living as a decoy to achieve their agenda while at the same time disregarding the basic tenets of the constitution.

While noting that there have been demonstrations on election disputes before, Owalo said the Kenya Kwanza government was not going to bow to the pressure of protests and violence.

He said the President William Ruto-led government was led by the rule of law, adding that they will uphold it.

"If it happened before and through acts of violence and intimidation, we have ended up with nusu mkate government, it does not mean that it will happen with the current government or any other government in the foreseeable future,"  Owalo said.
