President William Ruto on Tuesday commended Kenyans on their ability to work across the world.
Speaking while meeting Kenyans living in Germany, the President noted that the government will leverage the “diverse, rich and skilled resource” to further the interests of the country.
"Kenya has one of the world’s finest human capital. It is among the biggest asset that we have; it is of very good value," he said in Berlin.
Going further, the President announced that negotiations were underway with countries such as Germany to eliminate red tape so that the skills can be exported and put to full use.
“We are also reviewing the Diaspora Policy so that we can take advantage of the opportunities that exist out there," Ruto stated.
The president also asked Kenyan institutions to continue maintaining and producing quality professionals of all cadres and stripes.
Wading into the ongoing demos in Kenya, Ruto maintained that no form of impunity will be allowed during his tenure.
He emphasised that no one including himself is above the law.
"We cannot allow impunity to destroy our beloved country, Kenya. No one is above the law," Ruto added.
The Head of State added that the police have a responsibility to protect lives and property.
He emphasised that the opposition should stop disturbing peaceful Kenyans, leading them to the streets.
