Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has said President William Ruto should have reached out and talked about all the demands Azimio made.
Speaking on Thursday, Amisi said the recruitment of IEBC was just one item of the Azimio demands.
He said the President made it look like it was the only demand that Azimio was having.
"I was expecting the president would have seen the millions of people and felt something," he said.
"The fundamental question the president should ask himself is, what are millions of Kenyans doing on the street every Monday and Thursday at 2 pm? Going on national media to respond about IEBC only was cheap."
This comes after the President called on Azimio leader Raila Odinga to call off demonstrations across the country and engage him in a bi-partisan approach.
Raila honoured the appeal and called off all demonstrations.
He, however, warned they will have to go back to demos if Ruto fails to take them seriously.
Raila said that they are focused on the outcome of the truce and will not be swayed.
"We assure our people and Kenyans that our eyes are firmly on the ball, and reiterate that we shall go back to the people as the earliest sign of lack of seriousness by the other side," he said.
Speaking on Tuesday, Raila listed four demands that will serve as a talking point ahead of the dialogue.
Raila said that Ruto must address the high cost of living and IEBC servers audited by experts citing that the truth must come out.
The opposition boss added that Kenya Kwanza should reform and reconstitute IEBC which will be necessary for future elections.
He added that there should be fidelity and the spirit of multiparty democracy in parliament.
