Retired president Uhuru Kenyatta has sent his apologies for missing out on the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition Parliamentary Group meeting at Stoni Athi in Machakos County.
Uhuru who did not make it to the meeting on Thursday, sent his apology through Coalition party leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking when he arrived at the PG, Raila registered Uhuru's apology to the delegation who were eagerly waiting.
“I bring apologies from our chairman Uhuru Kenyatta, he wanted to come but he was unable, but he said he will support whatever resolution we will make today,” Raila said.
Other leaders who attended include: Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua, Siaya governor James Orengo among other leaders.
In the meeting, Raila led other Azimio La Umoja team members to propose new and massive reforms following Sunday's truce.
Raila said the team wants a proper constitutional review to cure the governance defect in the 2010 Constitution.
"We want to remove the last vestiges of an imperial presidency," Raila stated.
In other demands, Raila wants recommendations on measures on how the cost of unga, fuel, electricity and school fees will be lowered.
