High Court Judge Nixon Sifuna has been named one of two winners of the 2022 Accountability in Action Awards.

The annual awards are sponsored by the African Development Bank (AfDB) under the Independent Recourse Mechanism (IRM).

They recognize individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to accountability during their engagement in the IRM's complaints-handling process.

The other winner is the Director of the Road Agency of Burundi Regis Mpawenayo.

Chair of the Stakeholder Advisory Council Damilola Olawuyi lauded the two following the win.

"The winners have demonstrated exceptional commitment to accountability, fairness, and collaboration, and we are proud to honour their achievements," he said.
