Eldas MP Adan Keynan has claimed the Azimio brigade mistreated the Jubilee party.

Speaking on Thursday at Spice FM, Keynan said Jubilee has been sidelined in the team to engage in bipartisan talks with Kenya Kwanza.

"The Azimio grouping has mistreated the membership of Jubilee in a manner that is totally inhuman, unacceptable and does not befit the status of elected MPs," he said.

He claimed that all parliamentary positions preserved for Jubilee were taken over by ODM.

"We will not take them lightly, we will not sleep and allow them to step on us, that is why we will proudly work with the government of the day," he said.

"Whoever doesn't feel comfortable that is your business, we have no apologies to make."

Keynan, however, said Jubilee is still in Azimio despite the challenges they are facing.

"We are still members of Azimio but we have a problem and we have made a pronouncement that we have a problem in Azimio and we shall sort it out legally," he said.

Keynan is a member of the Jubilee Party which is part of the Azimio Coalition.

He is among Jubilee members who 'defected' from Azimio and pledged to work with the government after the Raila Odinga-led coalition lost the August 2022 elections.

The Eldas MP is also part of Kenya Kwanza's seven-member team to take part in the bipartisan talks.

Others include Boni Khalwale (Kakamega Senator), George Murugara (MP Tharaka), Esther Okenyuri (Nominated Senator), Mwangi Mutuse (MP Kibwezi West), Lydia Haika (Women Rep Taita Taveta) and  Hillary Sigei (Senator Bomet).
