It was not a secret that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta wanted his handshake brother, Raila Odinga to succeed him in the presidency.

Uhuru's brother, Muhoho Kenyatta, took active roles in the Azimio la Umoja Coalition campaigns.

In his book titled Why Baba Is Not The 5th, Raila's chief agent Saitabao Kanchory reveals  how Muhoho was the glue in the coalition during campaigns

"Known to his peers as MK and to the rest of us chairman is possibly one of the most intelligent and focused people I have met. He is also a rather decent person ad a gentleman par excellence," he said.

Kanchory highlights that Muhoho was Azimio's host at the Westlands base command centre and was referred to as "Mr money bag."

"He (Muhoho) chaired all strategy meetings at the command centre whenever he was present and was the man who carried the big purse," he said.

However, the lawyer said that just two days before the elections, Uhuru's brother looked concerned when he approached him with a sincere face.

"A concerned Muhoho walked to me with a sincere look on his face and a matching tone in his voice, asked What do you think chief? Are we better now? "

Looking straight at him with resignation, Kanchory answered "You tell me".

It was now clear to Kanchory that with no straight answer and knowing his earlier frustrations, Muhoho attempted to reassure him that all was well.

"But it was clear he (Muhoho)  was now just as worried as I was. It is this incident and the unforgettable look on MK's face that tells me he was a team player," he said.

Above all else, Kanchory says Uhuru's brother meant well for Baba (Raila).

“I shall never understand how such a brilliant person could be so easily fooled. To this day, I am unable to fully figure for someone as brilliant as Muhoho Kenyatta to have swallowed lies and bait and been fooled by other players is a matter that is confounding," he said.

"I was very convinced that he meant well. He is a brilliant and decent human being. But I will never understand how he watched the whole command centre, which was practically in his control," Kanchory added.
