Former police spokesperson Charles Owino has termed as a fallacy Opposition leader Raila Odinga's claim that he will eject President William Ruto from State House.

Owino was speaking at Apuoyo Secondary School in Gem Siaya on Sunday during a popularisation event of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

"I am telling you that there is no day Raila will go and eject Ruto out of State House," Owino said.

Owino said the Kenya Kwanza government is legally in office and nobody can dislodge it from power.

He said that Raila was best friends with former President Uhuru Kenyatta but the retired president failed to help him defeat Ruto.

Raila has consistently claimed that he won the August polls with 8.1 million votes against Ruto's 6.9 million.

The ODM leader has since termed Ruto's presidency as illegitimate and threatened to storm State House and eject him.

Raila has also called for mass protests to among other things compel Ruto to lower the cost of living, open the IEBC servers for analysis and start the process of reconstituting IEBC afresh.

Ruto has, however, asked him to address the issues through a bipartisan process through the Parliament.

Owino urged the people of Siaya to abandon the ODM en masse and join UDA saying that is where government goodies are.

"I'm appealing to you to join UDA so that we can have enough food to put on the table," he said.

In an apparent reference to the ODM party which is popular in the area, Owino claimed that the party has unfairly treated the residents for far too long.

"Wa weuru kachinja manyondho remb jii (Let us abandon vampires that are sucking people's blood)," Owino said.

Owino slammed Raila saying that he has perennially rallied the Nyanza region behind him yet there is nothing the people are benefitting from him.

"When you want food, you always go to Wajonya (Nicholas Gumbo) or to me. You do not always go to him (Raila)," Owino claimed.

He further called on the region to be tolerant and embrace multipartism.

The former police officer explained that Luos have put their eggs in one basket (ODM) for the longest time and this has not been of any benefit.
