Kenyans on Twitter have sparked several reactions after prices of some maize flour brands dropped to Sh159 and Sh160 on Monday.
Photos circulating online showed that some maize flour brands are now costing between Sh155 to Sh167.
However, the news has not been welcomed by most Kenyans as some claimed that the prices were still high in their neighborhood supermarkets and shops.
Others questioned why the prices of popular brands are still retailing at a high price.
A spot check in some supermarkets showed that popular maize meals such as Ndovu, Soko, Pembe and Taifa are still retailing at normal prices.
Nevertheless, some Kenyans have thanked the government for the new prices and are still believing that they will continue going down.
