Kilifi MCAs have threatened to demonstrate if controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie is released on bond.
Led by Kilifi Speaker Teddy Mwambire, the MCAs said if Mackenzie is to be given bail, it should be in millions or billions.
Mwambire said the national government and senate should look into the case of Mackenzie.
"Mackenzie was taken to court and if you look at his case the magistrate had the decision to give him a bail of Sh10,000 and if they accuse him of a weak case, he will be given a low bail that will not be of help to us," he said.
Mwambire said if they witness any differences in two weeks, they will demonstrate in Killifi to seek justice.
"If it is a must for him to be given bond, he should be given like Sh100 million or even a billion for his safety and the safety of the people of Kilifi," he said.
On Thursday, 11 of Mackenzie's followers were rescued with three in critical condition at Malindi subcounty hospital.
Mackenzie purportedly told his followers that since there was a drought, they would hasten their journey to heaven by starving themselves to death.
The pastor and his followers appeared before Malindi chief magistrate Elizabeth Usui but were not charged as police asked for 30 days to hold suspects to complete investigations.
The magistrate revoked the Sh10,000 bond and ordered Mackenzie and the others to be held for 14 days to allow police to conduct further investigations.
Usui said she revoked the bond issued last month because Mackenzie has been going on with his alleged cultic activities despite orders requiring him to desist.
