President William Ruto and Azimio boss Raila Odinga troops in Parliament on Thursday failed to agree on the inclusion of Eldas MP Adan Keynan to the bipartisan team referring the matter to the principals.
The leadership of the bicameral house told journalists that they have however agreed to allow the talks to continue.
Kenya Kwanza had also raised an objection to the inclusion of Pokot South MP David Pkosing as one of the opposition negotiators.
The Ruto camp argued that Pkosing was elected on KUP's Party which entered into a post-election deal with the ruling coalition.
"We have got one sticking issue that needs to be resolved. In our engagement this morning we raised the issue of the inclusion of Eldas MP Adan Keynan as a member of Kenya Kwanza negotiating team," Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi said.
"Our objection was premised on the fact that he is a member of Jubilee party which is a constituent party of Azimio."
"They have also raised an issue about our inclusion of David P'Kosing as a member of our team on grounds that his KUP party leader John Lonyangapuo has entered into some arrangement with Kenya Kwanza."
Wandayi said they have chosen to refer the matter to the leaders of respective coalitions in a view to having it resolved.
Ichung'wah said the issue of membership to the bipartisan team was a decision of their various party leaders hence their decision to refer it back to them.
"We appreciate that the composition of both teams was arrived at following engagement of party leadership of both coalitions," he said
"This is not an issue we can ably resolve that's why we have referred to our party leaders for resolutions and respective party organs."
