Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement party has sent a cautionary note to their members and supporters.

The note comes after suspected goons set ablaze a public service vehicle along Ngong Road.

The party blamed the attacks on a plan by the state to make the opposition look violent.

ODM said they know the government's tricks and that with time, the state will be exposed and ashamed.

"Our members and supporters and the entire Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition family are hereby advised not to fall for the barefaced antics of our opposition which are aimed at portraying our side as violent. We know their tricks and with time they will be ashamed," ODM tweeted on Tuesday.

In videos seen by the Star, the suspected goons believed to have set the bus on fire also robbed the people who were aboard.

The opposition had announced that it would resume protests on Tuesday, as the bipartisan talks face collapse.

The Azimio side has refused to be part of the talks despite the government giving into most of their demands.

ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna while reacting to the video claimed the government was trying to incite city residents against each other.

He urged Nairobi residents to maintain peace instead.

"The state in a well-orchestrated spate of violence is trying to paint our #MaandamanoTuesday as anything but peaceful. We know these tricks," he said.
