Social media list of ambassadorial appointees fake – PSC

Says genuine list will be made public via Commission's official channels.

The Public Service Commission has dismissed as fake a list of ambassadorial appointees that has been doing rounds on social media.

It purports that PSC has shortlisted 20 candidates for the positions of ambassadors and heads of States.

The doctored list is dated is Wednesday, May 10, 2023. 

The Commission dismissed the list, urging Kenyans to ignore it.  

"Notice: Please Ignore the Fake List of Appointed Ambassadors. We would like to inform the public that this list is fake and should be treated as such," it said.

PSC said it remains committed to ensuring transparency and fairness for all candidates in any recruitment process it undertakes.

The Commission added that all announcements related to candidate selection will be made through the Commission's official channels.

"Please do not fall prey to false information or scams related to our organization," it said.

PSC invited the public to contact it in case of any questions or concerns.
