Pastor Ezekiel Odero, the owner of New Life Prayer Centre and Church in Kilifi County, is a man currently at the center of controversy.
The preacher is under investigations over alleged indoctrination of his followers.
He is currently out on Sh3 million bond with a surety of similar amount or an alternative of Sh1.5 million cash bail issued last Thursday.
Pastor Ezekiel has been linked to controversial Malindi-based preacher Paul Mackenzie in whose 800-acre farm where over 110 bodies have so far been dug out from dozens of shallow mass graves.
New life Prayer Centre and Church was registered on September 11, 2012 under registration number 3877.
The church stands on plot no. 916, Shanzu but the postal address is P.O Box 685-80109, Mtwapa.
The church is registered as a society whose objectives include to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the Word of God.
The Church was also sought to proclaim the gospel of Jesus everywhere in societies.
New Life Prayer Centre and Church organises fellowship rallies, conventions, camps, street meetings and open air crusades in Church halls, tents and other places.
The Church teaches the gospel through various media including radio, television and satellite.
Pastor Ezekiel is listed as the head of the church as well as chairperson while Moses Onyango serves as the vice chairperson.
Others are Alice Wanyama who serves as the secretary and Frankline Mbuvi as treasurer.
Earlier, there were claims that the New Life Prayer Centre and Church had not filed its returns as required under Section 30 of the Act.
However, Kenya Revenue Authority documents showed that Pastor Ezekiel has been compliant in filing tax returns.
The document dated June 2022 shows that Ezekiel's church had fulfilled all its tax obligations.
"This is to confirm that New Life Prayer Centre and Church, Personal Identification Number P051523861H, has filed relevant tax returns and paid taxes due as provided by law," the KRA tax compliance certificate shows.
"This certificate will be valid for 12 months up to June 28, 2023."
