Masked gunmen robbed radio presenters while they were live on air in Nakuru.

In a video seen by the Star, a group of men stormed Mwinjoyo FM studios in a live show on Thursday.

The show had gone on well for a time before the robbers masking their faces with pieces of cloth showed up using the main door, leaving the lead presenter in surprise and fear.

On air was Kigoco Live, a gospel show in which presenters play tunes while hosting guests.

The robbers were also armed, carrying guns and machetes.

As they entered the studio, the robbers ordered the radio presenters to lie down.

One of them was heard saying "lala chini" which loosely translates to lie down.

They were forced to halt their presentation and lay down as told.

The attackers continued their business as the programme was filmed live on the station's official Facebook page.

They looked around to see if there were more people,  and one of the robbers questioned a presenter and stepped on them.

However, it is not clear what the robbers took from the presenters yet as investigations are ongoing.
