NHIF will on Tuesday begin its roadshows in Nairobi targeting the informal sector as part of the effort to sensitise, get feedback and reduce the number of defaulters in the sector.

 

The roadshows will be targeting the (Jua Kali) and are aimed to sensitise the target audience about NHIF, its products, services and highlight the importance of health insurance.

Shakahola, exhumation resumes 

The exhumation process at Shakahola Forest will resume on Tuesday after a two-day break.

The death toll at Shakahola Forest has hit 201 as more bodies are yet to be exhumed.

Waititu's corruption case

The Sh588 million graft case facing Former Kiambu Governor Waititu, his wife Susan Wangari, and others will proceed today (Tuesday).

25 witnesses have already testified.

The last time the matter was in court, a witness said Waititu is yet to complete paying the owner of Lake Naivasha Resort the balance for the purchase price of Delta Hotel situated along University Way in Nairobi Central Business District.

More police deployed at Finlays

More police officers have been sent to protect tea estates in parts of Bomet and Kericho Counties following cases of renewed attacks targeting private investments.

This follows Sunday, May 14 incident in which six police officers were admitted to hospital after they were attacked by more than 200 youths who were illegally harvesting tea at a James Finlay farm in Bomet County.
