Somaliland on Thursday marked 32 years since gaining independence.
It first secured independence on June 26, 1960, from Britain.
However, the country made the historic error of relinquishing that independence five days later when it went into a merger with Somalia on July 1, 1960, to form the Somali Republic.
The people of Somalia remember the day by going down memory lane thinking of the hard struggle they went through which finally led to the re-birth of the Somaliland nation and the establishment of State institutions.
Citizens from Somaliland took to social media to mark the anniversary.
