Pupil dies at St Mary's Kinangop, 23 others admitted

They exhibited headache, stomach and chest pain symptoms.

A pupil at Kinangop's St Mary’s Primary School in the Mugumo location of  Nyandarua has died.

The Standard reports that the pupil passed on after complaining of stomach, headache and chest pains. 

The publication said 23 other pupils have been admitted to Engineer Hospital with similar symptoms. 

The publisher said Nyandarua County Director of Health Jane Mwathi confirmed the incident saying a team of officials had been deployed to conduct investigations into the matter. 

"It is true that we have lost one pupil. The others have been admitted for further examination," Mwathi said.
