Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah has claimed that there is an attempt to make former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga join Kenya Kwanza.
Wajackoya spoke on Thursday at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road where Njega had presented himself.
"There is an attempt to have Maina Njenga join Kenya Kwanza and denounce the Azimio Coalition," Wajackoyah said.
Wajackoya claimed that someone is out to take leadership of the Mount Kenya region by all means.
"We know very well that Njenga is not going to crossover to Kenya Kwanza," he said.
Wajackoyah said Njenga had said he would rather go to court or be killed than join Kenya Kwanza.
However, Wajackoya did not disclose who is trying to force Njenga to cross from Azimio to Kenya Kwanza.
He claimed the accusations against Njenga were all politically castigated.
"Shame on whoever is trying to do this. Your days are numbered," Wajackoya said.
Njenga had presented himself to the DCI offices after receiving instructions from the Nakuru County Directorate of Criminal Investigation to do so.
He was asked to present himself to the police for allegations of being in possession of two guns and 90 rolls of bhang.
