Posts shared on different social media platforms claiming that Twitter Boss Elon Musk plans to release “robot wives” for sale later this year are false.
The said robots have human-like faces, but their bodies appear to be a mix of metal and other human-like features.
The claims also have it that the “robot wives” will run on batteries and will be password or fingerprint-protected.
“According to reports, Elon Musk’s company plans to produce a ‘Robot Wife.’ The Robot Wives is expected to roll out Sept 2023," one Twitter user said.
The fact check desk has established that the claims of a robot wife are not true as there is no evidence and Elon has not posted anything on his social media accounts on the same.
According to France 24, the images used have all been generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
