Chaos Tuesday evening erupted at a burial in South Mugirango in Kisii forcing County Governor Simba Arati to flee as goons pelted his car with stones.
It turned lawless after County Assembly Speaker Philip Nyanumba skipped inviting area MP Sylvanus Osoro to speak at the funeral.
But as he introduced the governor to talk, goons armed with crude weapons began raining terror and vandalizing the governor's car as he fled from the commotion.
Mourners were forced to flee in various directions during the chaos.
MP Osoro and Arati were attending the burial of Dishon Ayiema , father to Boikanga ward MCA, Paul Okombo.
The incident occured at Riasobera primary school grounds.
Early, most Ward Reps had castigated the controversial Financial Bill 2023.
