Daadab MP Farah Maalim has opined that Trade and Investments Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria will be a thorn in President William Ruto's re-election bid.
Maalim spoke on Tuesday during an interview with Citizen TV.
He said Kuria's outbursts are destructive.
"If Moses Kuria's outbursts and his remarks and his aggressive confrontational issues are bad, they will cost Ruto at the end of the elections," Maalim said.
The MP said it might also come as a surprise that Kenyans might have no issue with the aggressive confrontational remarks made by the Trade CS.
"Let us wait and see how Kenyans perceive it. You would be surprised sometimes many of them might see no fault with what he said," Maaalim said.
This comes after Kuria on Sunday verbally attacked Nation Media Group, one of the leading news outlets in the country.
The attack followed an expose by NTV, a station under the group where it alleged that Cabinet Secretaries were responsible for the drop in the price of edible oils.
The move allegedly made the taxpayer lose about Sh5.6 billion.
Kuria also threatened that the media house will not get advertisements from the government.
He said the only advertisements they cannot prevent from going to the NMG are those from auctioneers and funeral announcements.
NMG termed the verbal attack using foul and crude language against them as shocking, primitive and inexcusable in the eyes of level-headed Kenyans who expect cabinet secretaries to conduct themselves with decorum befitting their high offices.
“It constitutes a serious violation of Chapter 4 Bill of Rights, particularly the freedom of the press. We note that the attacks on media have been sustained since the Kenya Kwanza government took office,” the statement reads.
