Learners in primary and secondary schools across the country will begin their term to midterm break on Tuesday, June 27.

The initial date was June 29 but a request by Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) saw the dates revised.

In a letter by KESSHA chair Indimuli Kahi, Principal Secretary of Education Belio Kipsang amended the dates saying the break will begin Tuesday, June 27 and end July 1, 2023.

“All school managers are required to take note and adhere to the changes dates,” Kipsang noted.

Indimuli had requested the amendment saying the previous midterm dates were conflicting with the KESSHA’s 46th National Conference.

“The Ministry recognizes that the National KESSHA Conference is an important event that allows school managers to make a review and share experiences in running of schools,” Kipsang said.
