CS Kindiki reshuffles Deputy County Commissioners

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has made changes in the deployment of Deputy County Commissioners across the country.

In a press statement released on Friday, June 23,  CS Kithure Kindiki reshuffled 204 DCCs. 

"The changes take effect immediately," the CS said. 

Of the 204, one of the DCC was retained while 11 were transferred from their posts at the Ministry Headquarters.

Samuel Muchangi Kariuki was retained at Lari, with the ministry revoking an earlier transfer to West Pokot. 

The 11 include Wilson Ole Saaya transferred to PA/RC Central, Gerald Mutuku Nthei (PA/CC Kitui), John Chirchir (Marakwet West), Johnstone Kipkoech Kigen (PA/RC Nyanza) and David Lusava (Malindi).

Others are Philip Kiplimo Soy (Marigat), Grace Aketch Ouma (Kisii South), Elizabeth Owendi Ocholi (Seme), Stanley Musyoka Kimanga (Buna), Patrick Muema Musango (Isiolo) and Martin Gitonga Mauki (Kieni East).

Three Deputy Commissioners were transferred to the Ministry Headquarters.

Angela Mutindi Makau will leave her post at Ithanga while Abdihakim Mohamud Jubat has been transferred from Trans-Mara South and Evans Kipchumba Wendott from PA/RC Nairobi.

Jubat had been recently transferred from Kimilili to Trans-Mara.  This was during changes that were done on March 7, 2023.

There are also other DCCs who were affected by the changes following the previous transfers.

Patrick Mwangi Kirienye has been transferred to Athi River from Samburu East. Prior to that, he was posted in Kajiado North. 

Moranga Morekwa will now be posted at Mbita from Tana North where she was transferred to from Kajiado West. 

Other transfers include Paul Waweru Mwoca from PA/RC Central to PA/CC Murang’a, Jacob Macharia Mwaura from Embakasi to Lugari and Lawrence Kariuki Ngare from PA/RC Rift Valley to PA/RC Eastern.
