Kalonzo meets Canterbury Archbishop Welby in London

Says they discussed the South Sudan conflict and ways to restore peace to the country

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday held a meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury His Grace Justin Portal Welby in London.

Welby is also the Primate of England and the Head Primus Inter Pares of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

The meeting took place at Lambeth Palace, in London, United Kingdom.

"I was especially reminded of the Beatitudes; "Mathew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God," he said.

Kalonzo said they spent time discussing matters of international importance particularly on African affairs.

He said they discussed the South Sudan conflict and ways to help bring peace to the country.

Other leaders included the Archbishop of Canterbury's Special Representative on the conflict in Sub-Sahara Africa, Bishop Precious Okomu and the Reverend Canon Dr Sammy Wainaina, Provost of All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi.
