Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has stated that Azimio la Umoja Coalition will not back down in holding national demonstrations.

Speaking on Thursday, the legislator said that the Kenya Kwanza government will have to listen to Kenyans.

"From next week, we will have three days straight of protests from Monday to Wednesday until President Ruto listens to Kenyans," Sifuna said on Citizen Tv.

The ODM Secretary General emphasized that Kenyans are angry because the government has imposed high taxation despite the harsh economic times.

"The demonstrations are not Raila's or Azimio's, it is for the millions of Kenyans who want the high cost of living to come down," Sifuna said.
