Azimio reveals new meeting venues for protesters in Nairobi

Karua urged Kenyans to demonstrate peacefully in their respective neighbourhoods.

The Azimio la Umoja coalition has announced the three convening grounds in Nairobi during Thursday's protests.

Narc leader Martha Karua said protesters will meet at Huruma Grounds, Kangemi Grounds and Central Park in Nairobi's Central Business District.

She urged Kenyans to demonstrate peacefully in their respective neighbourhoods.

"In Nairobi, the people will assemble at Huruma Grounds, Kangemi Grounds and Central Park (CBD)," she said in a statement.

Thursday will be the second day of the three-day anti-government demonstrations.

Karua further called on Kenyans to show up in even larger numbers compared to Wednesday.

She also requested police to offer protection to the protesters.

"We expect the police to provide security to the demonstrators and the general public, " Karua said. 

On Tuesday, Azimio asked their supporters to meet at the Joseph Kangethe grounds, Kamukunji grounds and Jacaranda Grounds, before marching to the streets.
