Mathare MP Antony Oluoch has been arrested.
Reliable sources in the security sector told the Star that the MP was arrested by police on Thursday evening.
He was fuelling his car at a petrol station near Nakumatt Junction on Ngong Road. before being arrested.
The MP is said to have been whisked away by a vehicle bearing Tanzania's number plate.
ODM Party Director of Elections Philip Etale is among the Azimio La Umoja officials who commented on the arrest.
"He whisked away in a vehicle with TZ plates while refuelling.... Several Subaru cars were spotted around the scene," Etale tweeted.
