President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to taming impunity,  police brutality and extra-judicial killings in the country.

Speaking in Murang'a on Friday, Ruto affirmed that the same way he committed that the Kenya Kwanza government will deal with extrajudicial killings is the same way he will ensure there is no impunity

"Hatutaruhusu askari kuvunja sheria na kuuwa watu kiholela. The same way we said we'll get rid of extra-judicial killings is the same way we are committed to ensuring there is no impunity," he said

"You cannot destroy property, cause mayhem and anarchy and get away with it. You will not. Criminals must be dealt with firmly and decisively," Ruto added.

His statement came as the anti-government protests entered day three.

President Ruto on Thursday had warned the Raila Odinga-led coalition against holding protests.

While in Isiolo, Ruto said that he will not allow the opposition to spoil Kenya through protests.

"Sisi tunaongea kama wakenya na Sauti Moja, tumeambia wapinzani wasiharibu nchi yetu kwa kutumia maandamano," he said.

This translates to: "We are speaking as Kenyans in one voice and we have told our opponents not to destroy Kenya by holding protests".
